Cheltenham

2.00 Amaretto Rose is a class animal and a solid fav. here,  Hide The Evidence is best of the Irish, De Soto has place potential.
2.35 There are question marks about all the front three in the betting here. Lennon is the best horse in Howard Johnson's yard and is currently 20/1 on Betfair. That has to be value.
3.15 Never will you get better value than the 2/1 about Detroit City in the Champion Hurdle. He is home and hosed.
4.00 Little Brick is going to be hard pressed to give weight all round here,  Heltornic  is value at  12/1+ she is on the top of her game at the moment.

5.10 Maguire is only very moderate but he is better than he has shown so far over hurdles. His mark continues to fall and one day things will click and he will pop up in one of these poor hurdles. Today is as good a day as any with this being such a weak event. Back 12/1+ 11/1 PU lame

3.50 Fractured Foxy won a decent race when last she tackled this course and distance with the 3rd and 4th that day having gone up 23lb between them since.  The selection is howeve only up 2lb. Back 5/2+ 2nd 6/1

Feb 24th Kempton 3.10 Lucifer Bleu will be a warm order here being 21lb well in on official figures. However he has a number of negatives to over come. He is not a certain stayer at 3m, and is also going to encounter softer ground here than is ideal for him. Soft round here is much slower than soft around Wincanton. He is also up in class significantly and will not have his own way up front. Lay up to 9/4 4th 15/8F
Feb 24th Lingfield 2.30 Ajigolo will improve for the step up to 7f and is expected to run a big race here.  Back 6/1+ 11th 12/1

Feb 22nd Southwell 4.55 Namroud takes a drop in class here after racing well from out of the handicap in a muddling event last time. He lost his way in the summer on the flat after being over tried but a spell hurdling has bucked his ideas up. He is expected to collect here. 4th 3/1

Feb 20th Taunton 3.10 Albarino looks value here, he jumped well when last seen and can make a bold show here. Back 10/1+
4.40 Gunship has a lot more on his plate here than last time. Lay up to 3/1

Some very trappy events here,
3.45 Joaaci is not the most reliable of types and is on the borderline of being a lay at 6/4 but there is only really The Sawyer running for you so the logic is probably to back The Sawyer at 3/1. It is a iffy race and best passed over.
4.55 Calatagan is value at 3/1, he stays all day and the small field will suit his front running style.

2nd 6/1
Feb 17th Lingfield 1.35 Barney McGrew is value at 6/4 2nd 8/11F
Feb 17th Uttoxeter 1.40 Mr Strachan has a big home reputation and connections are convinced he needs bottomless ground despite his only fwin being on firm. He is expected to win this. Back at 7/4+ 1st 13/8F

Feb 15th Kelso 3.10 Numero Un De Solzen is a promising type but he is not the fastest and this track is plenty sharp enough, also the 2m6f is a bit shorter than ideal. At 2/1 he is a lay. Whereareyounow is strong value at 10/1.
4.45 Bica will win  this, and thereby qualify for the Cheltenham Foxhunters where if the ground stays soft he's expected to run a big race. At 1/2 he is not at a price we would recommend today.

3.10 Not the most interesting of days racing today, with only two short priced favourites to recommend. Warnes Way is a big positive here and worth a wager at 1/1.
5th 10/11F
Feb 13th Southwell 3.50  Again a short price selection here in Red Cape, his form is rock solid and he seems improved for being geld. Jane Chapple-Hyam's is a stable  on the up and even at 1/1 this is worth a wager.

3.40 This is much the toughest assignment for Milan Deux Mille so far. And he's had plenty of racing in the last month. Both Laskari and Mambo Des Mottes are solid opposition here, preference between the pair is for Laskari but may be safer to lay Milan at 11/8 -

4.15 Bauhaus is not the most regular visitor to the racecourse but he does still retain ability as he showed staying on well on his reappearance, will come on for that and is expected to run a big race today. Back EW 14/1+

4.20 Doubts about the jumping of the key horses here. Noble Billy was a solid, if one paced hurdler, he will have been well schooled and at around the 6/1 mark is worth a small wager. 4th 10/3
Feb 8th Southwell 4.00 Hall Of Fame is value at 6/4. 3rd 13/8F
Feb 5th Wolverhampton 3.50 Canadian Danehill is at the top of his game at the moment and is worth an interest at 11/8+

2.25 Competitive low grade fare here,  Milan deux Mille is well up in the weights here  but is at the top of his game at the moment.  Mr Bigglesworth however is a nice sort with a good yard, at 20/1 he is value for a small wager.
3.00 Sir Boreas Hawk, lively prospect for the future this one, big home reputation and everything going for him to day, expect him to start around even money here. At 6/4 he's there to back

1.40 Looks a match between the front two in the betting,  Lamanver Homerun will improve for the step up in trip, and is value at 5/2 against the favourite who was disappointing last time.
2.10 Parkinson is a horse that can not be trusted, he has ability but he always gives layers hope. He's 11lb well in here and the opposition isn't up to much, so wisest to swerve laying him here unless he drops below the 5/4 mark
4.40 interesting Hunters race here, a little bit on Back Nine would not go amiss, hes fit and capable of springing a surprise here.
